Pining, brooding romance with minor political intrigue and zebras

I loved this book. The desire to be seen and known by another person is captured so wistfully and so forcefully between Arthur and Lydia. The secondary characters deserve more screen time, I love the whole Strathranoch clan. The narrators have changed from the first book in the series and are so much better!
