About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
The audiobook of Eric is read by Colin Morgan (Merlin; Testament of Youth; Belfast). BAFTA and Golden Globe award-winning actor Bill Nighy (Love Actually; Pirates of the Caribbean; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) reads the footnotes, and Peter Serafinowicz (Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace; Shaun of the Dead) stars as the voice of Death. Featuring a new theme tune composed by James Hannigan.
Eric is the Discworld's only demonology hacker. Pity he's not very good at it.
All he wants is his three wishes granted. Nothing fancy—to be immortal, rule the world, have the most beautiful woman in the world fall madly in love with him, the usual stuff.
But instead of a tractable demon, he calls up Rincewind, probably the most incompetent wizard in the universe, and the extremely intractable and hostile form of travel accessory known as the Luggage.
With them on his side, Eric's in for a ride through space and time that is bound to make him wish (quite fervently) again—this time that he'd never been born.
Eric is the fourth book in the Wizards series, but you can listen to the Discworld novels in any order. The first book in the Discworld series—The Colour of Magic—was published in 1983. Some elements of the Discworld universe may reflect this

Excellent
It's a great auditable book about Rincewind and anhk more pork and the parrot talking about what's name.

Great Narration.
It's a weird one, "Eric".
The Rincewind books aren't my favourite Discworld books and Eric is short and odd.
Colin Morgan though!
Colin Morgan performs this so that it becomes a fully cast theatrical production. He is utterly brilliant at voices and characterisation. His denizens of Hell were hysterical!
Brilliant narrator!
He's breathed new life into this series.
Still loving Peter Serafinowitz's sexy Death and Bill Nighy's wonderful casual take on the footnotes.

A brilliant combination.
Best heard straight after Sourcery. The two complement each other. Colin Morgan’s narration and his range of character voices are superb. SIr TP is a genius. The combination is brilliant. (Michael).

Huge Fun
I thoroughly enjoyed this. This sort is huge fun and makes you laugh out loud in places. As with the other Rincewind books the narrator is brilliant and brings the whole thing to life.

Very enjoyable!
I really enjoyed this book, short and sweet. Obviously, it was a very different narration style, and no one can neat Nigel Planer for me, but I still really enjoyed Colin and think it made very easy listening.

Perfect performance!
I decided to go back to the Rincewind collection after having not read them for a long time. And I have to say that Colin Morgan's narration is absolutely excellent, and his Rincewind voice is just perfect. Absolutely spot on to how he should sound! Truly great, I'll be listening to the rest of them for sure!

Not bad. Not the best.
I’m going through the Diskworld books for the first time after being told about them, and how they have been revamped lately. I really do very much enjoy the performance in these books. But the story in this one just isn’t there for me. Maybe it’s just because I finished Guards Guards and that one is awesome.

The more I listen to the Terry Pratchett Discworld books, the more I more I enjoy them.
This one is book four in the Rincewind saga and just so entertaining and witty.
