it took me a while to get used to the narrator and honestly I struggled to remember what each species looked like as there are alot ...but despite that I very much enjoyed these books and the narrator was also very good once I got used to her

This is such a cleverly written set of books. Storyline doesn't get repetitive or boring. Imaginative to the end and very skillful with logistics.
Only downfall, which for my personality type, was a biggie... There are sooooo many different types of people and lands that I got lost early on and just went along with the storyline, only remembering a handful of which characters were which. It meant I switched off and lost interest many times and picked it up later on. Even the number of royalty where the Queens are referred to as Kings as well as the Kings themselves. It was clearly the mind of a very clever person, which is great if you're as smart.
Overall, great books.

Gave it 7 or 8 chapters but realised the descriptive physical attraction felt between half-demons with snouts a leap too far.
