About this listen

Trouble in the Dales. A brutal gang of poachers. When one of the unsavories is killed, can a DCI stop a river of revenge from overflowing with blood?

Detective Harry Grimm is reaching another milestone in the Dales. As he completes the purchase of his new house, his plans for moving in are disrupted when a trespasser falls into a grisly calculated trap and bleeds out.

Tracking back to a recent violent confrontation in a local pub, Grimm and his team assemble a long list of suspects. But when a principal lead disappears in a potentially murderous payback, he fears it’s the start of an all-out slaughter across his idyllic countryside.

Can he halt a killer stalking human prey before the butchery destroys his beloved land?

Fair Game is the electrifying 11th book in the DCI Harry Grimm Crime Thrillers series. If you like steadfast cops, chilling clues, and gruesome puzzles, then you’ll love David J. Gatward’s suspenseful hunt.

I’ve really been enjoying this series - reading the first lot and for the last and this one, listening. Great narration.

Great series

Scottish characters in your stories at least have a narrator who can do a Scottish accent!!! These stories are really good but the absolutely awful attempt at Scottish accents really does spoil the stories

Though born in the middle of England I wed a dalesman so I can believe that anything could and did happen in that part of the British isle’s and I’m so enjoying reading the authors well written take on life ‘up dale’.

Anything can and does happen in the dales

This is a very good listen from one of my favourite authors. However I didn't think it was a good as the previous books, the character development wasn't to me as good and the story seemed a little rushed. Still good though and a bit gruesome in parts. Good descriptive interludes of our beautiful Yorkshire countryside which as a blind listener I more than appreciate. Aubrey Parsons is a superb narrator and just right for the Grimm series. Look forward to the next book.

Only very good this time.
