About this listen
Anty Boisjoly is back with his reddest-of-herringed, twistiest-of-turned, locked-roomiest manor house mystery yet.
It’s a classic, manor house, mystery-within-a-locked-room-mystery for Anty Boisjoly when a death is foretold by a mystic that Anty’s sure is a charlatan. But when an impossible murder follows the foretelling, Anty and his old ally and nemesis Inspector Wittersham must sift the connivance, contrivance, misguidance, and faith in pseudoscience of the household and its haunted history before the killer strikes again.
Like all Anty Boisjoly locked-room puzzlers, Foreboding Foretelling at Ficklehouse Felling is a stand-alone farce for those who like a little crime with their comedy and vice-versa.

Bertie Wooster reinvented.
A Bertie Wooster character who aims to seem stupid but turns out to solve locked room murder mysteries. Along the light hearted way, puns and jokes teem. The narration is characterful and and full of comic timing. Great escapist entertainment.

Another Fabulously Entertaining Jaunt with Anty
I always consider it 'time well spent' on these outings with Boisjoly, and I end up re-listening to the tales many times over. All of the characters are usually loveable for one reason or another and are always hilarious, as the dialogue writing style is so good. The mysteries are original and keep your interest. Tim Bruce is an inspired choice for the narrator for this series. He gives a brilliant performance on each book, completely embodying each character he portrays. My only critique, is that I wish the books were longer..... but the stories themselves don't feel rushed, so that complaint is only that I'm irked when they end and I will have to wait for the next one to be written and recorded.
I know many refer to Anty as a Bertie Wooster style character, but I think of him as more of a mash up between other Wodehouse characters such as Gally Threepwood, Uncle Fred and Psmith for their wiley and mischievous natures and Sherlock/ Poirot.

Brilliant
As always brilliantly written by Mr Fitzsimmons and superbly read by Tim Bruce. Twists and turns every chapter with fun and capers with a duck, paintings and dubious suspects!
