Summary

Stunning and sophisticated, art dealer Samantha King is the only person who knows she doesn't have it all (unless you count her mother and sister, which Sam doesn't). When it comes to men, Sam won't make time for anything more than a one night stand. No commitments, no connections.

The night her life changes forever is a night Sam actually can't remember. Even so, the indelible mark a woman named Mia Rossi leaves on Sam's heart is something she can't ignore.

In her debut novella, Elle Spencer takes us on a heartwarming, humorous journey with Sam and Mia as they navigate life, love and a surprising shared history that complicates things, to say the least.

Sweet

I'm surprised I liked this quite as much as I did. It's soul-matey, insta-lovey with tons of angst and dramatic miscommunication but it had me completely hooked and invested. Samantha King wakes up in some man's hotel room after a night of what she hopes was good sex to find that the legs she sees stepping out of the shower are a woman's.

What a book!

The book is amazing! The story is so well written. It caught me from the beginning. And the narrators voice is delicious. I highly recommend it! ❤️

Great but left me wanting more...

Samantha, a straight art dealer, has a one night stand with a woman but was too drunk to remember anything. The woman, who turns out to be Sam's highschool boyfriend's sister, has left Sam wanting more. A warm story, filled with miscommunication, family drama, angst, and instant-love connections, that will leave you wanting more.
This was good for a quick listen (at a more comfortable listening speed it's only 3 hours) but there are many moments where you're left wishing for more detail and depth. The instant love connection between the two MCs is lacking the build up that more detail would help provide. As a light hearted romance that won't take an entire day to listen to, it will be sure to make you smile.
Narration: I normally love Stephanie Murphy's narrations, but I struggled to tell some characters' voices apart in this one. Overall, it was a good narration but lacked the variance that she has achieved brilliantly in other books.
