I love Cora and her books but I found Sofia so frustrating at times and the constant talk about her sister. I wish we could have had more Danillio development and not just his sleeping around but maybe I wanted more him as I love teddy Hamilton voice?!? 🤩😜

FRAGILE LONGING is a story of a teenage crush that turns into an arranged marriage and eventually love. There’s a whole heap of lust, betrayal, lies and sneaking around in this one with a heavy m@fia theme. Another big age-gap romance we watch grow over the years. Sofia is promised to Danilo at the tender age of 11, and she thinks all her dreams are coming true. Oh the rose tinted glasses of youth. Danilo is an intense, protective, dominant alpha and although he’s a beast to others eventually we see his tender side in private with Sofia. I loved the traditional m@fia obligations, codes they live by, and strong sense of family. We get to see Sofia mature into a woman drowning in insecurities who eventually finds her inner strength. We watch as Danilo is brought to his knees with longing for his wife. This is an intense love story spanning many years. I enjoyed all the events that helped to show us the many different sides to the two main characters as well as some little tidbits of knowledge about the side characters too.

It’s been a happy accident that I've listened to a few titles voiced by Desiree recently. She so easily portrays the changing and maturing of Sofia. She has a really expressive voice and we can’t help but feel all the emotions Sofia goes through. Teddy’s performance as Danilo was strong and commanding. He showed us the brash outer and soft inner of Danilo. Another fantastic audiobook. I’ve really hit some winners recently.

If you like intense romances that span years and of course some delicious spice. Pick FRAGILE LONGING.
