I loved this story 😍

Caleb was one of those heroes that was such a douche, but the more you listened to this story the more you knew there was something more to him. He was just a man in pain and he needed the right woman to help him deal with it.

Paisley didn't let him push her around. She gave as good as she got. And man lite Evelyn what a freaking adorable little girl💖

Joe Arden and Andi Arndt, haven't done this duet yet in a while and was so good to listen to their narration. Joe was so good with Caleb it's like you felt his pain. And Andi Andt really brought out Paisley's sassiness. Loved the characters and loved the narration 🎉💖

Love Me Today is book one of a new series Time River by AL Jackson.
There is always something just so smooth when it comes to the writing style of AL Jackson. It’s just the perfect cadence of details, beautiful wording, timing, and fullness of the story that is almost like poetry when you read her books. Her books for me are the “getaway” book, they spin you into her world and the chaos around you just settles. With every word that’s written, I feel the annoyance of my days melt away.
Caleb and Paisley Dae were so much fun to dive into. I love me a small-town suspense, toss in a little grumpy/sunshine with a single dad and I am swooning for days.
Caleb was grumpy from start to finish and I was here for it. There was no moment where the grinch’s heart grew 3 sizes, he didn’t have his magically moment of wanting to be a better man – That man knew who he was, and if your name was not Evelyn or Paisley Dae, he wanted nothing more than for you to leave him alone. I can’t tell you how refreshing it was to read a grump staying just as grumpy even after falling for the girl.
Paisley Dae is probably one of my favorite FMC to date. Ms. Jackson knows how to give us some of the strongest women I have ever read. It’s almost like she’s pouring her own strength and determination into these no nonsense, strong & sassy stunning women. The character growth of the intriguing Paisley Dae was some of the most empowering growth I’ve read in a while. Knowing what she’s lacking in her own life but not letting it get into her way, supporting her grandfather, taking on a Nanny all while trying to manager her own life. I just really loved watching her rise like a Phoenix.
Evelyn, I just always adore when AL write children. That’s not normal for me, they sometimes get lost in the sauce of the book or take too much time in the book. The perfect amount of Evelyn in this book. She was the cutest, adorable, I loved her so much and could see instantly how she brought both Caleb and Paisley to their knees.
I was lucky enough to listen to an advanced copy of this book. Andi Arndt and Joe Arden put on a phenomenal performance.
Can’t wait for book 2!

AL Jackson. I always love getting lost in her books, each one different and this one is the perfect escape into a world of romance, a little angst and some romantic suspense. Meet billionaire Caleb. Grumpy, worried and taking care of adorable Evelyn. She is a handful, but his goal is to keep her happy and safe. Moving to the ranch and getting her the riding lessons she wants seems to be a good start. Paisley is starting over. When the chance to use her love of horses and teach Evelyn to ride comes along, she jumps on it. But these two have a rocky start. Will he let her stay? From here Jackson takes us into a world I didn't expect. Romance yes, I knew that was coming, but the complexity of Caleb and the warmth of Paisley is all consuming and had me completely engulfed in the book. I loved the interactions with Evelyn, she is the breath of fresh air that keeps everyone smiling. The thread of suspense is thrilling and had me on edge as I waited to see just how things would turn out. And the love of a little girl is just the icing on the cake. This is a fantasic listen and made my day!

Joe Arden and Andi Arndt are just a wonderful plus to this great story. These two not only make a great team, but bring an element to each character that makes them unique and realistic. Arden portrays Caleb with a bit of aloof snarkiness, but as the ice melts, he is like a big teddy bear, perfect! Ardnt makes Paisley a strong and independent woman, no matter the real feeling she has and I love how we can feel her insecurities underneath. It's a casting that is surely written for these two voices.

I couldn't put it down because it had awesome characters, insane chemistry, a suspenseful storyline, and so much drama! Paisley is a badass who doesn't take crap from anyone, and Caleb is this broody, strict guy whose walls Paisley breaks down. It's an enemies-to-lovers romance that had me hooked from the start. The audiobook with Joe Arden and Andi Arndt was a captivating and immersive experience. Their performances bring the intense chemistry between the characters to life, creating a truly addictive and satisfying listening experience. It's a must-read for fans of single dads, enemies-to-lovers, and small-town romances. I was totally captivated by this book, and I can't wait for the rest of the Time River series!

I absolutely loved this small town, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, single dad romantic suspense and I loved that two of my favorite narrators, Joe Arden and Andi Arndt, voiced Caleb and Paisley!

This book was perfect from start to finish and I loved how much these characters complimented each other. Caleb and Paisley had amazing chemistry and the spicy was phenomenal! I loved everything about this book and I could not get enough! I felt all the feels and couldn’t help, but fall in love with these characters and this world!

First off – that cover. Isn’t it gorgeous? It simply speaks to me on a cellular level. Then the book. The story. Its characters. I love a good small-town romance with curveballs and twists I don’t see coming – and this one had a few of that. Throw the single parent trope and a grumpy hermitic and slightly secretive hero in the mix, and I’m head over heels. Caleb and Paisley got me hook, line and sinker. Add to that a list of side characters I cannot wait to learn more about and, yeah, I’m ready for book two in A.L. Jackson’s brilliant new series.

Paisley and Caleb are brought to life be Andi Arndt and Joe Aden, two top-class narrators, who both did a terrific job in transporting – and heightening – all the emotions the characters were feeling with their voices, creating even more and deeper levels to the story.

Highly recommend!

She has done it, again, y’all! 𝗔.𝗟. 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻 has used her magic and created her fans a brand new book boyfriend for us to fall absolutely head over heels in love with in the first book of the 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 series! She never ceases to amaze me with her creations!

Caleb is absolutely, sinfully delicious in every way! He’s brooding, he’s protective and he’s the best dad! The sparks that fly instantly between him and Paisley quickly turned into an inferno that left me 🥵🥵🥵. I absolutely adored their story and watching it unfold!

Andi Arndt & Joe Arden were the perfect voices to bring these heart stealing characters to life. They always put their full emotions into it and I feel like I am listening to friends tell their epic love story! Joe Arden always captures my soul!

If you love small town romances with heart & soul poured into them, then don’t miss this one. You’ll fall in love with not only the characters but the whole town! I can’t wait to visit 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 again in book 2!

Holly sweet molly smexy audiobook. Paisley and Caleb’s story is hot and smexy, with mystery and action and an unexpected twist at the end added to the mix. Caleb is alpha and protective, Paisley is sassy and independent. All these ingredients make a great 5 star read.
Audiobook wise a 5 star listen needs great narrators and yep we did get those. Joe Arden had the most amazing performance as Caleb; you could feel the intensity in his voice, Caleb’s whole essence was amazingly narrated by Joe. Andi Ardnt brought Paisley’s sassiness and feistiness to life and what a fine job she did. I struggled to press pause on this audiobook, it was just amazing.

I love, love, loved this book, the story is absolutely wonderful and it not only captivated my attention the entire time, but tugged on my heartstrings too. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about and even fall for. Paisley Dae gave up a lot when she left her small hometown, Time River, Colorado, but she is back home where she belongs with friends and loved ones, and is ready to start over again. She is hoping to get back on track and do something she loves and has an interview to work with a young girl to train her to ride and handle a horse. Except she already met the person who is hiring her and the interaction was not a good one, lets just say it started off with a crash, her vehicle and his. Caleb Greyson bought the ranch and moved there from Seattle to keep his little girl Evelyn safe. He continues to conduct business in Seattle, but with everything that happened, he needed to keep Evelyn out of harm’s way. Evelyn lost her mother and is feeling that loss, but she gains a love for horses and wants to ride one, but overprotective Caleb does not allow her to. He compromises and hires a person to train her and the horse, not expecting that person, his friend’s sister, to be the same one who crashed into him that morning. Paisley gave him lip then and does not put up with his grumpy attitude for the interview, putting him in his place but he needs her for Evelyn and winds up hiring her on a trial basis. Evelyn is adorable and a real scene stealer, her dialog was cute and heartwarming, she is easy to fall in love with and that is exactly what happens for Paisley, which makes it that much easier for putting up with Caleb. Caleb sees how Paisley is with Evelyn and as a person, he softens up towards her and lets his guard down, he still holds back and she knows he has secrets and just when they make headway his biggest fear happens, the threat he was running from found him. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a beautifully written and plotted story that has the perfect balance of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. I also loved how the suspense storyline played out, mysterious because we get information a piece at a time and it keeps you thinking and on your toes, and when it all comes to light, the reveal of who was behind it all is surprising and something you never saw coming. Superbly done, A.L. Jackson, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I am loving this new world you created and the characters, and it is definitely a place I would love to visit and spend time in again soon.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, A.L. Jackson cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Joe Arden and Andi Arndt are superbly talented voice artists and that talent truly shined in their performance. Their portrayal of these characters was wonderful, they were naturals in their roles and had a complete understanding of who they were meant to be, giving each a voice that suited that character’s persona perfectly. Arndt nailed it as Paisley, handled her witty dialogue with ease, Arden played Caleb as the over protective grump perfectly and the alpha boss. And their Evelyn was heartwarmingly brilliant, bravo to both. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture all the character’s emotions and project them into their performance, having you feel every single one. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Their voices and performances complement each other’s and their narration enhances an already fabulous story to another level.
