Everything in moderation

Had high hopes for this book but felt very let down. I was hoping to find out more about the way your gut and brain interconnect and mutually influence each other. Instead it appeared to be a list of fairly disjointed topics with some strange analogies regularly interspersed topped off with a lesson on how to cook fish.
The dull tone was perhaps because it was narrated by the author which, on occasion, can lead to a more valid delivery but in this case narration might have been better left to someone with performance skills and who could enliven the list of said disjointed topics (and particularly the oft repeated list of gut friendly foods)
Having listened throughout I have come away with little new information. Eat a varied and healthy diet and all will be well.

Fun and factual

This book condenses everything you need to know about what to eat and more importantly why to eat these things.
It can be too easy to read these types of books and feel bad about your own diet but this book is one of inclusivity and understanding that we don’t always get it right.
The breakdown into actionable changes was a brilliant way to structure the book and made a complex topic simple and easy.

Possibly the worst book on an interesting subject

I am not sure who this book is aimed at. It varies between quite interesting and banal and is preachy throughout with an odd use of the vernacular that simply doesn't work.The author sounds like she is reading lecture notes and really should have got a professional to read it.
I had hoped to hear some current scientific discussion but it is filled with correlation not causation with the inevitable meandering to neurodiversity and a vacuous diatribe on climate change and a section 'hacks' that have been well trodden by others. This is possibly the least informative book I have read/heard on the subject and the 2nd worst choice on Audible.
