Hogy az aktuális bornírtsággal fogalmazzak, én mindig meg szoktam írni, ha sárga a pecsenyekacsa. Itt több ilyen sárgaság, vagyis jó-ság szerepel - nekem folytonos, nagy élményem a magyar szellemi gazdagság. A gazdagsághoz természetesen a turulnosztalgia vagy általában a nemzeti giccs hol nevetséges, hol félelmetes, de mindig megbízhatóan nívótlan és mintha szaporodó megnyilvánulásai is hozzátartoznak, nemcsak az a hagyomány, amely itt, most a cd-n megszólal. Látni ez idô szerint nem látom, hogy s mint van ez, de remélem, hogy országom arcát inkább az utóbbiban ismerhetem föl. Az a valószínû persze, hogy több arca van. Ezeket próbálom rajzolgatni, miközben (ahogy a híres Escher-képen) ôk is rajzolnak engem. - Esterházy Péter
