This series just gets better! One of my favourite police procedural series. The main characters of the police team are fleshed out and become more like old friends. A gripping story with lots of surprises. The way that the issue of domestic abuse is dealt with is superb. So sensitive and so realistic. I cannot recommend this series and this book enough! Thank you Charlie!

This book draws the reader in from the very first chapter. Then it takes one on an emotional rollercoaster through various forms of violence and control to reach a breath holding 'please don't let it happen' climax. However, it might be a trigger for anyone recovering from domestic violence as it is so well written into the story. A good read that is well read by Antonia.
