Some short stories I read can be quite gripping and make you want to finish them this was the opposite wouldn’t read again

Not what I expected from this author but a good little story that kept me listening.

This is a novella so it is short, I could almost guess the story from the start but persevered, the narrator is quite good, doing her best to add suspense to the tale, but overall, disappointing.

I started this with interest for a new character, which sadly lagged as soon as the narrator commenced. A high girly gushing voice put me off the reading. I will make a note never to buy another book read by this narrator!
The story was okay, but I was hoping for a female Ben Hope not some wish-washy harlequin writer...terrible I hated her right from the beginning...If she ever did write books I would never read anything she wrote!
The story was a well worn mystery come horror with the protagonist disappearing like the previous author in the book. I must admit the descriptions were good and fairly creepy...however the repetition became too tedious, and I ended up skipping chapters to get to the end.
I would not recommend this book to any man, woman or their dog!
