I haven’t read many books by Meg Xuemi X but I am really surprised by how much I was hooked! I loved the academy setting aswell as the enemies to lovers going on 🤭 trials are my soft spot in books especially after acotar so I ate that up!! 🔥 so excited for book 2 whenever that arrives to audible! My only criticism is the plot dragged at times but overall definitely worth a listen.

This was really entertaining from start to finish, yes there were a few parts that might have been dragged out a touch but the overall flow and the characters ensured that my attention was held firmly from start to finish. In fact there were a few times that I stopped what I was doing just so I could fixate on the story which for me is the sign of a fantastically good book. Can’t wait for more

When she ran out of that, he'd syphon off her life force, sucking her dry like a husk, until she could replenish! It caused her excruciating agony. Sy, who's the monster and protector inside of her, would swap to protect her.😢🥰

They escaped before he was able to regenerate fully.🙏🏼 He's sent out his Shrieker monsters to find and return her. After escaping again, she finds a portal and lands herself in the last immortal realm called Mist of Cinder. She decides she'll hide here.

She hides as a boy known as Little Bob. She's trouble for everyone, especially the realms Prince's, who are all drawn to her but are confused about why they're lusting after a boy. Lol Well, all except the Prince of Chaos, he seems to see through her disguise.👀

I really enjoyed this series opener. The new realm was a little confusing at first, but I soon got lost in the storytelling. The narrator captured and held my attention.👏 I'm sad the audiobooks aren't out yet for the other books. I'll continue the series once they are, as I really did enjoy this one!⭐️

This is a good book with lots going on. There is a lot of characters from several different clans that I did lose count of! It doesn’t take away from the main storyline though. A fantastic performance.
