About this listen

To love a bad boy is to love the beast inside him....

Bad boy Zane Wolfe has always been wild and reckless. Even though he's hot for his high-school sweetheart, he's not planning on settling down anytime soon. Plus, he's changing in strange ways...and he begins to wonder if there's truth to the local folklore that claims his family is cursed to be werewolves.

There's never been a time when Candi Brooks didn't have a serious weakness for Zane and his intense, dark sex appeal. She craves him. But after her life changes dramatically and Zane still won't commit, Candi's reached her limit. She can't wait forever, so she's taking her heart off the table before it gets broken.

Danger begins stalking Candi, and Zane will do anything to protect her. But the person she might need the most protection from could be him.

Loved it

Great story featuring Zane and Candi. I enjoyed the story very much and felt for Zane as he stumbled his way through new knowledge trying to reach for peace and understanding. Once again, Erica Sullivan's narration was excellent. She is a talented and eminently listenable story teller. 💖💖💖💖💖

<<<I've copied&pasted my review (below) from...

...the last book as a review for the series as a whole. >>>

oooooooo!!! It just CANNOT end there!!! :`(
I need more!!

I have a new favourite author.

I tend to find most books lacking in some area or another but this series had a bit of everything!

***decent characters that you WANT to learn more about.
***a plot that doesn't bore you to death and can suddenly have you slipping towards the edge of your seat.
***sex scenes that were ACTUALLY DESCRIPTIVE!! I am so sick and tired of, "he entered my love tunnel and then there were stars bursting around me". They are such a let down! I want to be able to imagine/ experience the whole book and that includes the "naughty words".... anyway....back to my points...
***believable reactions by the characters to their sudden circumstances. Like in horrors when they stereotypically send the busty lass upstairs screaming at the possibility of being killed and we all sit there groaning because we don't act like that in reality.... yes well there's still a lot of writers who make their characters do the same.... luckily, not in this series!
***generally the three books in this series have been quite enjoyable and easy to listen to. The type where you can guess the ending but you still enjoy getting there.

The plots weren't the most technical in the world but enjoyable nonetheless. There's humour, sadness, suspiciousness, suspense, love, decent sex scenes and after going through all three books there's still plenty of room for more! I want the "brother from the first book" to "go through the process" of finding out he's got wolf blood too.....plus..... what happened to the "alcoholic dude" who was bitten?? I just need more!

The narration is fabulous and I honestly can't think of anything to complain about...which is not like me.

Worth a listen.

I enjoyed this story after first listening Koda and Maggie story. It was steamy and well written with a plot that flowed. I would’ve like to feel a deeper connection with Zayn and Candy with their history since teenagers, more than their physical chemistry.

The heat between them was delicious but the female lead was a doormat

Pity she had to just take it ever time he got what he wanted and she woke up alone each time. Or when she went to the doctors alone or all the morning sickness alone.. I didn’t really feel the emotional connection between then but definitely heat.

A nice easy listen

This is a nice easy listen, nothing ground breaking but entertaining.

I listened to book one in this series and enjoyed it so thought I'd pick up book two as they were included free in my audible subscription.

I expected this to be a continuation of Maggie and Koda's story and although they do appear throughout the book the story focuses on Candi and Zane's turbulent relationship.

High-school sweethearts Candi wants Zane to commit to their relationship but Zane has secrets of his own and issues he needs to deal with.

This book is light on fantasy similarly to book one and reads more like a contemporary romance with a twist of mystery.

I will be picking up book three they are just a nice easy listen you don't have to think about too much.
