About this listen
Penguin presents the audiobook edition of I Am Missing by Tim Weaver. Read by Joe Coen and Charlotte Ritchie, and featuring the author himself.
When a young man wakes up bruised and beaten, with no memory of who he is or where he came from, the press immediately dub him 'The Lost Man'.
Naming himself Richard Kite, he spends the next 10 months desperately trying to find out who he is. But despite media appeals and the efforts of the police, no one knows him.
Richard's last hope may be private investigator David Raker - a seasoned locator of missing people. But Raker has more questions than answers.
Who is Richard Kite?
Why does no one know him?
And what links him to the body of a woman found beside a London railway line two years ago?
Could Richard be responsible for her death - or is he next?

Any additional comments?
Whenever I finish a Tim Weaver book, I think never again. Then I go and buy another and wonder why I did that. What a ridiculous storyline. Could the author stuff anything else into an already over stuffed plot which is so unbelievable you have to laugh? Amensia, deception, murder, embezelling, drugs, lonely islands, cruise ships, interogation, monsters.... step sisters, prostitutes... , sinister comings and goings, and all solved by the intrepid David Raker who seems to have bottomless pockets and can trip around the world solving mysteries no other person can solve. Yawn. All narrated in a grey dreary voice to match the whole humourless story. I lost count how many times I had to keep going back to previous chapters as I found my mind had wandered away from the storyline or the fact I didnt even particularly care. 13 hours listening to a book touted as a best seller, tense thriller, a page turner... Definitely the last time for me.Impossibily Silly
