THE HEART-STOPPING NEW NOVEL FROM SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR GILLIAN MCALLISTER
How do you choose between right or wrong, family or justice when the crime is so close to home . . .
OLIVIA:
22 years old. No history of running away.
Last seen on CCTV, entering a dead-end alley.
And never emerging.
JULIA:
Detective Chief Inspector Julia Day ought to be out hunting for Olivia. After all, missing person's cases are a race against the clock. Only this one is different.
Because someone just threatened Julia:
Find Olivia, and we'll take your daughter . . .
'McAllister stunned me – and she will stun you too' Jodi Picoult
'A first-class thriller' MAIL ON SUNDAY
'Jaw-dropping, stunning' DAILY EXPRESS
'A sure-fire hit' ADELE PARKS
'This is McAllister at the height of her powers' ERIN KELLY
I enjoyed the story, not quite as much as I enjoyed Wrong Place, Wrong Time or How to Disappear but still a great story with the usual twists and moral dilemmas I have come to expect.
Enjoyed the story, let down by narration.

Kept me wanting to discover the end
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
First 60% was tortoise slow in terms of plot and then everything was wrapped up in the last half an hour. Not up to her usual great standard.
Bizarre production

I did, however, find the repetition of the name Julia quite irksome. She was also a bit one-dimensional and not as memorable as some of the author’s other protagonists have been.
The narration was fine but it was unfortunate that there were a few editorial errors which had not been picked up.
Entertaining listen
