You know when you find a fantasy book that you think was written for you? this is it. No brooding Hero's here, well maybe one. it's full of funny one liners. Great story telling and characters you believe in. Great narration to top it off. well done to all involved. A great geri-action fantasy book

A brilliant bunch of characters a huge managery of beasts and easy to read . A very humorous bunch brilliantly brought to life by the narrator. I've been waiting for a fantasy book like this for an eternity and I'm really looking forward to the next books in the series. definitely recommended

This is a rollicking story of a beautifully imagined world. The tale is woven expertly with subtle humour and so msny switch back turns it is sometimes difficult to keep up. The narrative of tje final battle is enthralling edge of your seat stuff yet has genuine moments of pathos as well as dark humour.

This is the story I have most enjoyed in many years. Excellent setting where mercs / monster slayers are treated like rock stars and the author constantly portrays a colourful world and interesting characters with witty prose and sharp adult dialogue. This author is an amazing talent. The top notch voice acting only adds to the experience. In an ocean of mundane or quite good fantasy fiction this one really does stand out. Give it a shot.
