Johnson played a major role in the Kennedy assassination, and unlike the baseless speculation and second-hand hearsay found elsewhere, Nelson grounds his claims with historical and biographical fact in a well-structured narrative that connects LBJ's youthful character flaws to the shady dealings in his early political life, and finally to the mentality that led him to - as Nelson asserts - assassinate JFK. This is still the best on what really happened to J.F.K and a must read listen to book, next is 'They Killed Our President' by Jesse Ventura also a very well researched book.

This book is wonderful although painful to read... how many people got away with so many murders and how just for power LBJ killed a president, a spouse and a father.
The performance was great. This book gives one so many information and I hope to read an update from it if the release documents during Trump's time were also giving new information or evidence.

I've never had much time for what I considered to be conspiracy theories around the JFK assassination, but having listened to all 4 of Robert Caro's books on LBJ a few times, I felt I already had a bit of an insight into the man's character, so gave this a go mainly because it was included in my membership. To say it is eye opening is a major understatement. This book in a way doesn't surprise me - I was already aware of the man's unbelievable ambition and his ruthless, manipulative nature - but this is by turns stunning, shocking, exhilarating and depressing. I would urge you to listen to it - and even if you decide it's all nonsense, it is beautifully written and read, so there's that too. Personally, though, it doesn't seem like nonsense to me...

I enjoyed the book, there’s a lot of detail about LBJ however it is very long and you might want to reserve “Final Judgement” until you read around a little more.

This has to be THE book to read for anyone interested in gaining a wide and fact-based knowledge of the most likely conspirator(s) and the likely chief (LBJ) behind the JFK assassination. It's a long journey (27hrs or so) however it is a gripping listen, I never got bored and everything is laid out clearly and concisely, backed with evidence. There is little conjecture in this book - as there has been with other books linking LBJ to the assassination - as it draws it's unavoidable conclusions. I loved this book!!!
