Interesting perspective on the disintegration of the Soviet Union

The interviews with Soviet citizens as well as higher-ups. It really gives the listener a glimpse of this country

Well written and detailed account of the disintegration of the USSR and the history leading up to its collapse.

The latter day Soviet Union fully revealed.

A wonderful, monumental book, but it really deserves better narration. The monotonous treatment of the material actually made me buy the real book!

superb

we are so lucky this journalist was in the USSR at this time. This was an amazing find. The narration is excellent, I can't for the life of me understand how a few people complain about the narration.
