On Ludus, life is often cheap. Nora's childhood hadn't given her many options. With nowhere else to go after losing her family, she joined an old friend in a street gang and found an unlikely home there.

But unfortunately, tragedy is about to befall Nora. Grudges from the distant past and movements of shadowy organizations may take away everything she is familiar with and all that she holds dear...possibly even her life. Danger has never stopped her before, but survival may require escaping her old life and embarking on an insane, desperate journey. Story line was full at first then showed promise, it seems to have slowed down again near the end.

I will listen to the next book only because it’s free and in hopes that it picks up.

I love the delvers LLC series and it is great to get a book in the same world but from a new perspective. Especially that of a native as opposed to an outsider. Nora is a great main character who is powerful but also doubts her self in a way that is very relate able can't wait for more.

Build that world.

I wanted to love this, but I found it a bit slog. By the end of the story, I was starting to get into it, but I would have returned it if it hadn't been part of the Plus catalogue at the time.
