Ivan Kendall died in a train station restroom eighty miles from home in March, 2014. Why did the quiet family man travel to Westbury from South Wales so late at night?

Loved this story- narration as always is excellent! Still feel Suzy is too bossy to Gus- even choosing what clothes he is going to wear the first day she moves in with him 😨 bad move Gus 😉

I love Roger Clark. Anyone who has played Red Dead Redemption will love him, because he’s the voice of Arthur Morgan. That brought me to these books via a search for his narration, turns out he’s done plenty. Some are great, these are average. Slightly dull cold cases solved in a week by the central character (old detective, font of knowledge, irresistible to pretty ladies despite his age and passion for his allotment), it’s ’time killer’ listening for when 100% attention isn’t possible. Missed an hour in the middle? No problem, just keep listening and you’ll be fine. I’ll keep going with them thanks to Roger but I haven’t developed any attachment to the characters. Roger does pretty good accents for a non native, even his Welsh is bearable (and I’m Welsh!), but surely someone could have advised him on pronunciation of British place names, never mind Welsh ones!? It’s a proper removal from the story when a ‘local’ character can’t pronounce their own city/town/village. Regarding this particular story, be sure to listen on headphones as a central character, mentioned often, is called Alexa, and this is annoying in a house filled with devices designed to respond to that name.
