Summary

My new favourite author
There are not many authors that you want to read their entire works. That you you have an obsession (pun intended!) with. I now have two. I love the way Jennifer writes and draws you into the story. I love that her worlds are so unique and relatable. I mean come on I should not be routing for these people. But I had an entire fan fare going on.

Narration problems
Narrator was very poor when it came to males. Barely distinguishable from female. Very tricky especially at the beginning.

Too cringe
Story is thin, but that’s not the issue, I didn’t expect a literary masterpiece. However the way the male POV is acted (or voiced), is cringe. I just can’t make myself to finish this audiobook. Two stars because female POV is not so bad.

nice story but poor performance
it would be better if there were 2 narrators instead of 1, or if the chapters/sections had a title (ex: Hunter or Serena) because it's pretty hard to follow the different POV with only 1 female narrator.
the story is great but hard to follow because of the 1 narrator thing
the sex scenes are pretty spicy and I wanted more 😉 loved this world and will download the lux series ASAP

Loved it!
I was dubious after reading the reviews but decided to give it a go. I nearly gave up after the first two chapters … I am so glad I didn’t.
The characters grow with such depth that you tell you are growing with them. The story is both slow and pacy, languid but exciting too. The narration is very good once you get into the flow.
I loved the characterisations, language and use of different styles of storytelling. I am going to find more by the sand author now and I’d love to know if this will have a sequel.

Narrators doesn’t change between male and female
The narrator doesn’t go between voices and I find it very hard to figure out who’s speaking :/ this narrator isn’t very good going between chapters I love her books but This narrator should only read single POV books

Would benefit from dual narration.
I couldn't fully get into the story. It's dual pov, but only has female narration. I think the main male character is meant to be a big badass growly alien, but the narrator just whispers his parts. I struggled to finish, at one point I increased speed to 2.3 just to get through it.

An enlightening read
Interesting extraterrestial romance, a story that stimulates your imagination. Hunter could not stop himself from feeling emotions for Serena, even though he doesn't believe he is capable of it. An enlightening read with some steamy sex scenes and heart pumping action moments. My first book from this author and I loved it.
