About this listen
Katie Fforde
When Sofia Bianchi’s father Aldo dies, it makes her stop and look at things afresh. Having been his carer for so many years, she knows it’s time for her to live her own life – and to fulfil some promises she made to Aldo in his final days.
So there’s nothing for it but to escape to Italy’s Umbrian mountains where, tucked away in a sleepy Italian village, lie plenty of family secrets waiting to be discovered. There, Sofia also finds Amy who is desperately trying to find her way in life after discovering her dad isn’t her biological father.
Sofia sets about helping Amy through this difficult time, but it’s the handsome Levi who proves to be the biggest distraction for Sofia, as her new life starts to take off…

Unputdowable.
As I got into the story, I could not put the book down. Definately a good read.

A lovely.....
storyline with some very good details of the surrounding area making you feel like you were there with some lovely characters within the book as well. The narrator was very good at using different voices for the characters.

I forgot about the reader...
...after a while because I wanted to know how the loose ends would tie up, but her voice was too light, plus the melodrama she included,. unnecessarily on the whole, in my opinion. Otherwise, ignoring the very childishness of the 18 year old (or are they like that these days?) it was a neat, satisfactory story

Loved it. An easy listen.
Easy listening with a thoroughly modern storyline. A writer new to me but one I would listen to again.

Predictable and long winded
Uninterested characters. Very 2 dimensional. No plot twists and story could have been told in half the time.

Not Sue Moorcoffs best
Narrators voices irritating and almost wobbly. Very disappointed with story line.
Hope the next one is better.

Narration key it down
The overall story was good but the narration was poor, staccato and quite irritating. Disappointed.
