About this listen
In the year 2081, our planet has survived global warming on an apocalyptic scale. When the dust settled and the water receded, Dr. Anthony Smith, along with the few survivors of GWI, started society anew. Having come to the conclusion that injudicious breeding played a huge role in the destruction of Earth as we knew it in the 21st century, he worked closely with other survivors to isolate the Dionysus gene: the gene has the ability to manipulate human DNA to ensure that all male children be born gay, and all female children be born lesbians.
A new society was born.
In the year 2300 Dr. Smith's descendants are ushering in the 24th century, having maintained control of the government that still rules society. Twins, Aiya and Aiyan, are preparing to meet their matches and take control of House Gaeland, the current ruling House. But not everything is as it seems.
Love is love, it knows no gender and doesn't conform to restrictions or boundaries. Aiyan has found his soul mate in Kaden, the prince of House Devi, whom he will eventually marry. But when the person Aiya falls in love with tests the boundaries put in place after GWI, all hell breaks loose. And in the midst of one secret unraveling, another will emerge. There is a growing anomaly that threatens to destroy over 200 years of progression. This anomaly is known as Opposites.

Opposites
This is the first book in the Opposites series. This book has MM and FF. This book is set far in the future. It has a very interesting look at lovers, partners, parents and family units. The lovers and partners are arranged and same sex marriages. A family unit is made up of two MM and two FF. Then the kids are born and raised between the two couples. To be in a MF relationship is considered to be opposites or controversial. I'm very interested to see where this series continues. Greg Bordeaux has a great range of voices and accents.

Opposites
Opposites by T.M. Smith
Five Stars
Opposites is the first book I have read/listened to by T.M. Smith and I really enjoyed it. T. M. Built an amazing world that was complex but easy to follow. The concept of two mothers and two fathers was unique and amazing.
The narrator, Greg Boudreaux, was new to me also. He is now on my narrators to watch for. This is a wonderful series and I look forward to reading/listening to more.

A good start.
I enjoyed listening to the first book of the Opposites series and a start into a different world where same sex relationships are the norm.
At the beginning of the audiobook I got confused because of the many main characters and all the informations but as the story developes I got more and more into the story (which is also thanks to the talented Greg Boudreaux).
All kinds of pairings are mentioned but only m/m and m/f got more sexy time.
Greg Boudreaux did a wonderful job to bring the world of T.M. Smiths "Opposites" with its many characters to life.
It ends with a cliffhanger and I hope the other books in the series will get an audiobook release in the future.

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Busy
Whilst I enjoyed the premise of this story I was very confused with all the characters involved.
They all seemed to be introduced all at once and I have to say it was hard to keep track, I commend the author for being able to.
That said it is an enjoyable listen, the narration was great, I will be listening to book 2..
