Summary

Gripping!
I was gripped from beginning to end. In some ways the story seemed far fetched but as it was so well written and described it became utterly believable. Unfortunately the narrator spoilt it for me somewhat as she took very loud gulps of air between sentences. Other than that I have only good things to say about this audiobook, one of the best I’ve listened to for ages.

Non-stop nail biter...
Every page kept me engaged. No slowing down...Freya annoyed at times but could see she was trapped! Kane - would love to see who could play him in the film?!

brilliant
I was gripped by this book, it was a believable story that really got my emotions going,with lots of twists and turns quite scary, and a bit sad throughout, it had me shouting out loud at the main charactor.

Very true to reality
This was well written and narrated however could do with a trigger warning at the outset for survivors or family of survivors of any similar traumas as it is quite a detailed story of events that may be triggering for someone in their healing processes. It unearths the evil the lurks around us all closer to home than many may realise & the corruption within some of the highest ranks that people may never have thought possible. It outlines how easily abuse begins to take form and take hold of someone, how a person can be isolated and hide it from friends & family a great listen for anyone who has walked this path in any capacity but listen with awareness of triggers! Thank you for this fantastic piece of work and shedding light on the darkness that unfortunately is around many!

one of the most hard hitting, frightening stories I have ever read
Oh My Goodness!! What an incredibly well written and perfectly delivered story. Thankfully, most of us live in a nice sheltered world where we get to call the shots on how we live.
This book shows just how easily all that can disappear and we see how so many of the others live.
I felt the fear, the panic and the total helplessness of what humans can enjoy inflicting on people.
