About this listen

A twisty Scottish mystery

Can Ian and Lottie solve the puzzle of the postcards?

World famous concert pianist Felix Lansman has a collection of postcards sent to him anonymously. He is sure they are from the love of his life, Jamie McLeash. But Jamie disappeared six years ago - the night Felix’s father was murdered. Police failed to make any arrests and the case was closed. Was Jamie a suspect and if so, why is he sending the postcards? Felix wants Ian to find out.

The trail takes Ian all over Scotland and the more he discovers about Jamie the more he is convinced of his innocence. If he finds him, he could help him clear his name. But it soon becomes evident that Ian is not the only one looking for Jamie. He should report his findings to the police, but this could lead to the arrest of an innocent man.

Can he find the real murderer before the murderer finds Jamie?

Like the books, they are fun to listen too thanks to the narrator too, They are a lovely shortish stories, Don't expect a lot of violence but they are good stories and as I was between books and put these books on my Mum's Kindle, I decided to take the two that are on Audible and enjoyed them both thoroughly. I will read the rest on my Kindle as they are not available on Audible, and thanks to the narrator I will hear the voice of the characters.

Enjoyable

This second audiobook in the PI Ian Skair series is an intriguing story. Ian looks into a cold case from six years ago. He was asked to find a missing person after mysterious postcards arrive. It’s a good plot with interesting characters, particularly liked his new assistant’s input into the investigation. The audiobook was well narrated and very enjoyable. Recommend.

wow, what a brilliantly written audiobook, I especially love it because it's based where I live so know everywhere mentioned. Sadly the narration wasn't so great due to most of the secondary male characters were voiced through clenched teeth and it quite annoyed me but the rest was totally fantastic xxxxxx

brilliantly written

This is the can’t miss sequel to the Laird of Drumlychtoun. It is greatly entertaining with good worldbuilding, an intricate plot, and delightful characters (I always love an accomplished hacker). Charles Robert Fox totally nailed the narration.

A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

Greatly entertaining.

Well ….listen really as it’s Audible.
I enjoyed the first book in the series - and this second didn’t disappoint.
Engrossing mystery and just enough tension as it played out .
Bonus being the tour around Scotland .
Look forward to another !
