What did you like best about this story?

The parts to do with the Predators were my most favorite parts of this story. I like how mysterious they are and want to know more about them. I just wish there was more of the Preds, like their culture, habits, home lives and so on.

Good story overall though, really enjoyed it.

As the review title implies, Incursion starts very slow. So slow that I kept zoning out and finding I hadn't missed anything important when I finally came back to realising it was still playing through my headphones.

It picks up near the end, though. It goes at such a fast face towards the end that you would be forgiven for thinking a different author had taken over after the first 60 percent.

For fans of Predator, like myself, there is the added bonus of getting to learn about their society, weapons etc ... Before they were simply an enigmatic curiosity, now I find them so much more interesting.

Well worth persisting with, especially because of what happens near the end. It promises for a thrill ride in the following books.

This is a great book, there are places where chopping between places and characters makes it confusing at times but it builds to a satisfying crisendo. The beginning is a very slow burner but once the action kicks in it doesn't lift off. Good start, slow in parts then great final act.

I’m partly writing this review to tell people not to listen to the haters on these reviews, I feel like they are expecting some sort of Shakespearean level of literature.

I want to give credit to the author for making a story that doesn’t feel convoluted like other aliens v predator films etc.

Great goons that you care about, great action and interesting and believable characters
