Summary
What if you accidentally fell in love with the right guy?
Andy:
If my life was a movie, I would be the sidekick. Not an especially promising start when my plan is to finally let my best friend know I have a crush on him. I just need a complete makeover. Change everything about myself so that when Falcon returns from his summer vacation, he can finally see I'm the love of his life. If I knew what I was doing, I wouldn't look like every nerd cliche wrapped into one awkward package. In short, I'm screwed. But then Law Anderson enters the picture . . .
Law:
I need somebody to tutor my hockey team, and Andy needs somebody to help him with his crush. Only the more time I spend with Andy, the more I like this quirky guy who makes me laugh, and pretty soon I'm the one who's tutoring Andy in way more than we initially agreed upon. But as weeks pass and the chemistry between us turns explosive, I'm starting to think that I might be in way over my head with Andy. If only I could make Andy realize that he doesn't need to change himself for love. If only I could make Andy see that he just needs to be with somebody who has considered him perfect all along . . .

funny and loving
Warning: Give the first 5 chapters a chance because it WILL get amazing! The first time I heard this book, I almost dropped it multiple times because Andy was the worst.
He starts as one of those annoying, bitter, whiney, judgemental, boring person that will stress you to the core, while the author tries their best to convince you acting like that is cute and quirky. Thankfully, the more Andy spends with Law, he loses all the whiney, bitterness, and judgmental vibes and turns into an actual cutie that's so sweet, charismatic, and absolutely hilarious.
Law is THE best!!!! He's amazing, loving, hilarious, and so damn hot. He's probably one of my favorite characters ever.
They complement so much, and their romance is so perfect that it will make you swoon and crave more.
I highly recommend this book, you'll have a blast 🥰

enjoyable
It was not original but I was entertained. Several scenes were too long. The point is made, the reader predicts and understands and waits for what is coming, so a better editor would have deleted chunks of filler to speed up.
For a 2022 production JL read good, again. Will he ever become marvelous, again?
