This is definitely one of my favorites. I am only disappointed that there is no more available from that series, I bought more from this author and all is very good. I recommend ,you will not be disappointed.

A sizzlingly perfect shifter romance that I loved and devoured from start to finish!

The narration, the story, the characters and the romance was all so mesmerising. Definitely up there as a favourite paranormal romance.

A great standalone story. Good, especially for readers new to shifter romance and books. It explains in a nice way, new to the genre, as to why paranormal romances are more insta love even when they fight it is slow burn but there is an instant connection. That's the magic and sup side. It's insta because it's magic. It's slow burn because it's hard to just follow instincts on something so big, so permanent. A lot of books get marked down in stars because readers do not understand what we cannot, so it's nice to have a book that gently lays out the difficulties of living a life of magic and being magic.

Anyway, I ramble, it is a book full of triggers, PTSD, bullying, gaslighting, forced imprisonment, mental physical, and intentions of sexual abuse.

I love the FMC and her wolf, I love how we go on an acceptance journey with her as she tries to survive during the most terrifying time of life alone. Even when she's being bratty and judgy, I trust she will soon slap herself out of it.
I love the MMC, although he is a bit of an alphahole when he plays games. But when he is just truthful and vulnerable, no games, just straight truth. Even I couldn't stay angry at him.
Their love story is insatiable, savage and perfect for them, and I love it.
Oh an the spicy smut is powerfully 🔥

The world build is good for a standalone. Making understanding the sacred cultures and dynamic of the packs and their ways easy to grasp and see when somethingis not right.
I felt the sleaze, rot, and wrongness. I also felt the peace, love, and justice. The book put me through a rigger of emotions and ends in a savage but justified HEA
