About this listen
The downloadable, digital audiobook edition of Jussi Adler-Olsen’s sensational new thriller, read by the actor Steven Pacey.
Two boys, brothers, wake tied and bound in a boathouse by the sea. Their kidnapper has gone, but soon he will return. Their bonds are inescapable.
But there is a bottle and tar to seal it. Paper and a splinter for writing; blood for ink. A message begging for help.
In Copenhagen’s cold cases division Carl Morck has received a bottle. It holds an old and decayed message, written in blood. It is a cry for help from two boys. Is it real? Who are they and why weren’t they reported missing? Can they possibly still be alive?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend to anyone who had read the previous two books as the backstory of the detective and his problems is not explained at all; it took quite a while before I worked out why he might have a paraplegic living in his house. I enjoyed the premise of the story.Would you recommend Redemption to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes but after the first two by same authorWhat three words best describe Steven Pacey’s performance?
Odd I could not understand why some of the characters had British regional accents when the book is set in Denmark and Sweden. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No it took a while to get into the story which had several threads not all of which were as gripping as the main story. Some of the characters were beyond unusual Rose/Ursa for example.nordic noir with regional accents!

I have enjoyed the department Q books although I have found Steven Pacey's Danish pronunciation a little odd, and his regional English accents even stranger for these Danish characters.
