Poor training advice & progressive politics

The book does a good job at showing you what is possible with running but the consistent progressive politics is infuriating.

Lecturing men on staying away from women, taking social hints when running with women, calling out disrespectful comments, “don’t sneak up, if you need to pass a woman”. It’s not only insulting to men but insulting to women. I’m sure all women aren’t constantly fearing a man jogging is a vicious optimistic rapist.

All of this ruined what could have been an amazing chance to show beginner runners the opportunities and joy the hobby can bring.
