About this listen

Elorion is back from the vampire realm.

Aeris and the girls have returned from training. The Head Mistress was true to her word. She kept them alive for a purpose.

Joining the succubi has gained Elorion and Aeris an illusionary freedom at best, and it will come at a heavy price.

There is no safety without power. No future without strength. Soon, they'll be leaving for the succubi capital. Sanctuary must progress or be abandoned.

Will it become a city on a shining hill or be extinguished forever?

NO STORY

the plot is nowhere near the last books. there is to much love fluff between main characters, tgat delivers cringe and some how zero depth to the main characters love or otherwise. it makes up about 50% of the book the 8hrs it steals would have been better put to use exploring the new area and adding a bit more depth to the factions of the world and building to the main story.

I'm really gutted as I loved all the previous books.
it did not even touch the wave of excitement i felt when I saw this book was released. I'm left now with a long wait for the next book and a worrie it might be like this one not worth the money.

Great story

It’s been along wait for this one, loved the first books and in my opinion this book picks up the storyline and moves it forward for the next arc. I really like Apollos world building. Definitely recommend

Is the author ok?

I’ll preface this by saying I really enjoyed the other books and one of the things I love about LiitRPG as a genre is that power levelling and levelling systems are such a good way of skipping some of the boring bits or quickly changing the dynamics of a situation to create more space for great story telling.

Unfortunately this book does the opposite, it’s almost entirely power levelling mostly focused around one character with little bits cheesy relationship stuff in between. It’s doesn’t expand the world or explain more of the politics between the different groups in the underworld.

Whilst I think this book is boring, the previous books were good enough for me to hang in and listen to then next one whenever it comes out. I’m hoping the rest will be as good as the previous books and I can just forget about this one. It’s not bad enough to stop me getting the next one but I wouldn’t recommended this one

No story progress

Everybody does some power levelling. That's the entire storyline. No real plot or progress of the overall story besides occasional hints towards bigger plots. Sadly was not worth the wait.

Also, for some reason the narrator changed the voices of key characters eg the Succubi are now Russian.
