About this listen

CONGRATULATIONS!

You have survived...

Weeks of pulling humans together and using his class to build a new safe home were shattered when everyone should have been celebrating. For William, building wonders comes easily, but his class needs constant fuel, and the knowledge he and all humans need to survive stays woefully absent or must be hard-won. The assistants have more knowledge to give, but even they are perplexed by the events transpiring.

Now the world is changing again, and potential new friends and enemies will appear. But can he trust any of them when they are here trying to survive as well? The only way forward is to keep leveling and learning as much as possible while saving as many people as he can. Will the shattered races be friends that can answer questions or enemies seeking to take what William fought to create?

loved the unique take in this RPG type series, although it didn't feel like much happened in this book compared to the last I still can't wait for the third to become available!

unique!

The Frist book had a lot of potential, in terms of litrpg, The setting made sense, the progression was good, the main character display forethought and had some common sense but the second book reads more like a man-child being taking out on outings by his supervisors. The main character is supposed to be a 30+ year old man who has recently lost his family but this aspect of the character seems to have been forgotten as the author uses this as a means to introduce awkward moments and to get pity for the main character.
The main character is used a a gopher by the other survivors to fix all their problems and runs around like a overeager puppy, his own character development seems to have stopped and left behind a immature manchild with zero capabilities of forethought or deduction reasoning.
The sheer fact that he creates a barony for survivors to thrive in but then never reads his own skills nor prompts and has to have his arm twisted each time just to advance what skill he has is idiotic, each conversation is more about quips and puns than actual conversations.
The Voice Actor is trying his best with this material but almost most conversation comes across as grating on the nerves as the mention characters are dense and one dimensional.
There is also a gripe to be made about having a "Teacher of academics" be completely ignorant of fedual power structure and being so naive to real world problem, this character seems to exist to play devil's advocate and allow the main chacater to introject thir own options as a more measured stance. (chapter of review: day 45)

The Voice Actor is trying his best with such lackluster material.

I like the flawed character that seem like actual people. I like the flow of story. I think this is building to a solid tale.

Interesting approach

Very well made book, very interesting and kept me listening to more chapters. Give it a try :D

A hidden gem

Hidden tree houses, elemental squids, a shark toothed bunny, cool abilities, brutal combat and a MC that's clearly suffering from PTSD with a terrible sense of humour all blend together to make a phenomenal second book in a series.

Tremendous
