I loved this. I haven't watched the film since it came out as I genuinely found it so emotional, and the novelisation is too! However, being able to go deeper into the characters' psyches, and to have the memories of my beloved original characters running throughout was wonderful. Marc Thompson's reading is pure genius; the voices of the characters are utterly flawless. I'm so in awe that I think I'll be getting any audiobooks he reads from now on! Thankfully, there are a ton of Star Wars ones!

The audible version runs and sounds like the movie, but with a few bits more of the characters thought processes and how they were feeling, what they were thinking at certain moments.

The audio for Chewbacca was dreadful and I cringed every time I heard it. Other than that it’s a good audio book!!

Rae Carson has managed answer some of the questions that the film left open or vague but as to he story has to remain the same cannot fix the overall somewhat disappointing ending to the Skywalker saga. Marc Thompson's performance is exceptional as always. his narration is always great but it his mimicry which his outstanding. Every character is immediately recognisable as their screen counterpart from Kylo Ren to his spookily accurate Leia.
