Welcome to Pepper Bay. A small close-knit community where you'll find chocolate box cottages, quaint shops, love, drama and a happily ever after.

Anna Cooper and Jake Reynolds both live at a luxury London building. The only difference is that Jake lives in the penthouse, and Anna lives in a tent on the roof. When Jake finds out, he offers Anna a chance of a new life in his grandmother's childhood home in Pepper Bay, and she decides to take the opportunity to see if she really can make a fresh start somewhere else. Unfortunately the male narrator made this is a difficult one to keep going with.

I think he would suit non-fiction, or newsreading... but his style just isn't suitable for fiction.

Everything else was exactly as expected. Cute, predictable storyline with all the cosy vibes... if a little strung out in the middle

Never before have I been so annoyed at the treatment of a male character! So Anna's feeling are valid, and she can go at Jake, but somehow his don't matter? Then he gets called submissive??? Absolutely NO!!

I really liked the story, however, I found the male performance to be rather robotic/ ai which made it quite difficult to listen and enjoy while he was narrating.

The narration made an ok-ish story unbearable. It’s a light and predictable story with not very in-depth characters but ok. The narrators though, both of them, have such nasal voices and lack any kind of talent to bring characters alive.

Just painfully slow and long. Not a but story, nice character just so terribly long. Three hours would have been ok… but 7? I finished it but I almost gave up a million times but I hate to leave books unfinished. Don’t think I could recommend. Maybe if you are sick in bed and need something extremely chilled
