I loved it. What a great story. All the characters were believable and likeable, even the bad ones. Laugh out loud moments but gentle in other areas. A really genuine story.

A good story with lots of characters. Well narrated. Some of the characters were annoying but I suppose they were meant to be. The storyline was strong enough to support each character and their development. A good read.

Okay, not everyone can do accents, but why hire someone who can’t do Irish accents for a novel set in Ireland?
The reading also seemed to have a lack of preparation, or perhaps understanding, of the text. Many misplaced emphases, words attached to the wrong phrases, the wrong character voices speaking lines during dialogues. I kept having to replay chunks of the book because I missed crucial bits while working out how it should have been read.
The story itself was fine, but it turns out a lively Irish reading is part of the joy of a Marian Keyes audiobook.

I LOVE Marian Keyes but the narrators truly awful Irish accents spoiled this book so much for me I couldn’t keep listening

I love Marian Keyes and previous audio books have been great - soft Irish accent
But this narration was awful - great for the English character and the story tell part - but Irish characters ( of which there are many) were narrated with an awful northern Irish style accent - not a dublin accent - just awful and spoilt the book

It’s a bit unfair I suppose to say the narration is awful - if this was a book requiring an English accent throughout it would be great, but the ‘Oirish’ accents are the worst I’ve heard. English cum northern Irish cum West Country ..,, (what Irish person would say ‘Liser’ instead of ‘Lisa’..??!). I did persevere as I love MK’s books but it was hard going at times.

Ms McMahon has a lovely voice but her Irish accents were awful. Im from Northern Ireland and know what Irish/Dublin accents are like and the storytellers awful attempts just made me grimace. I love Ms Keyes books but this one was spoilt for me.
