A good story, quite funny at times. It sometimes feels a little slow to move on at some points. Well narrated.

This had all the ingredients of a good cosy murder mystery: interesting characters, a promising story and good narration. I would say the story is just a little bit too long winded. It rambles a bit, especially towards the end. This is a shame because it just misses the mark. However, for a throwaway and light read, it is fine. I don't think I would be tempted by any further books in the series, however "never say never", as they say.

I really enjoyed this. It took a while to get going but it was worth persevering. I was thinking of all sorts of ideas and what must have happened but realised nearly right at the end. Differently written from “normal” murder mysteries and beautifully narrated.

Thought it was really well narrated and the story was simple and entertaining- immediately read the second book which was equally enjoyable.
