Summary

Rorthan’s life had been an unhappy one. The son of a general, when his mother died giving him life, his father refused to even name him. A chance meeting with the handsome Prince Tomren leads to adventure, danger, and a love that stretches across millennia.

After finding a cave in the woods near the castle Tomren and Rorthan stumble upon a secret that leads to them being hunted across eons by The Brotherhood of Time, a crazed cult of religious devotees that will stop at nothing to protect the secret.

Amateurish

I liked the plot and the uncovering of secrets. Worldbuilding was nice. The characters were quite shallow. For example when someone is suicidal I expect to notice that in their thoughts and behavior.
At several points the author fast forwards the plot by telling in a few sentences an occurrence that would be nicer if it had unfolded in paragraphs. The ending is rushed, with people changing colors and opinions in a moment's notice. The ending will come in the next installment.
The narrator was no performer. Some voices were good and he followed the expressions in the text. But often his dialog was stilted.
I will not buy book # 2.
