Summary
In life I was a scientist called Fanning. Then, in a jungle in Bolivia, I died. I died, and then I was brought back to life....
Prompted by a voice that lives in her blood, the fearsome warrior known as Alicia of Blades is drawn towards one of the great cities of The Time Before. The ruined city of New York. Ruined but not empty. For this is the final refuge of Zero, the first and last of The Twelve. The one who must be destroyed if mankind is to have a future.
What she finds is not what she's expecting. A journey into the past. To find out how it all began. And an opponent at once deadlier and more human than she could ever have imagined.
The publishing phenomenon that began with the astonishing worldwide best seller The Passage now comes to its epic conclusion.

Tremendous finale to the best epic trilogy
I'm so glad to haze chanced on these books by Cronin. I know I sound soft in the head, but they are life - changing for me. It is a shock to emerge from the world they evoke.

Signed off the series wonderfully
I've been waiting years for this break, and I was concerned I'd be disappointed... But I wasn't. The story flowed well, in Justin's style with this series we do hope about in time and there is the odd 'dream' scene which confused me a little but by the end it all worked. So happy to have the series completed and I still love all the characters.

totally unique and awsome
brilliant story spanning a thousand years that somehow manages to make it all feel like a much smaller time period in the masterful way the components are linked. A must read for those who like an intelligent undead story told in an imaginative way from all sides of the life line.

Divinely unforgettable!
Months later and I still cannot stop thinking about this book. The stunningly descriptive writing style of Justin Cronin and the brilliance of Scott Bricks narration combine to make this series utterly sensational.

Amazing final installment
I'm genuinely gutted this story is over. It was so skillfully written, the story was complex but every strand was brought together at the end, and the audio performance was wonderful. This trilogy has been the best fiction to come out of audible since I started with them.
Thank you Justin Cronin and Scott Brick x
