About this listen

What would you do if there weren't any consequences?

After 20 years on the force, Detective Chief Inspector Jack Logan thinks he has seen it all.

He is wrong.

When a nurse is murdered on her way home from nightshift, Jack and his team go on the hunt for her killer.

As more victims are uncovered, Jack finds himself tracking a murderer afflicted by a unique psychosis - one that leaves him free to maim and kill without a shred of remorse.

Facing a new type of killer in an unfamiliar city, DCI Jack Logan is about to be pushed to his limits, before being forced to realize just how little he truly knows.

The Killing Code is the third DCI Jack Logan crime thriller, and perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, Chris Brookmyre, and LJ Ross.

Gripping

Reasonably well written but rather drawn out at times to be honest. Enjoyed it overall but felt some of the narration let it down. Some of the accents grated and occasionally the main characters voice changed too much. The character of the most senior police officer who swore as a hobby was a tad overdone and unbelievable really. I will try another in the series though.

The 3rd in the series I am really enjoying them

The narrator is one of the best, totally brings the story lines to life. The characters are excellent and their interaction with each other. The actual stories are a bit far fetched but none the less one of the best detective series I have listened to

Loving Angus King’s Performances!!

I am now on my 4th consecutive JD Kirk, DCI Logan audiobook, all read by Angus King. I am loving them. I rarely buy authors’ books back to back but they’re just too good. Don’t know how I didn’t find JD Kirk sooner. The dark humour has made me laugh out loud in places. Angus’ performances of Kirk’s brilliant books is a match made in heaven.

Angus King … what a brilliant narrator.
I love finding a new series and so glad I found DCI Jack Logan and the team.
Each book gets better as you get to know the characters. Already downloaded the next one.
Great suspense which had me shouting at the speakers whilst driving and also laughing in parts.

Totally enthralled by these characters

Really really enjoying this series … I live in the Fort William/highlands area, so feel even more invested in the stories. Looking forward to the next book - currently ‘binge’ listening while working! Brilliant
