Great Britain has fallen to the Plague, and the war is lost. The few people left alive scavenge in the desolation of a ruined country. A lone man wanders the ravaged land, looting houses for food and hiding from the monstrous infected.

Guilt-ridden for failing to save his family, there is nothing left for him but memories of the old world - until hope is whispered in a radio transmission promising safety and shelter from across the North Sea. He joins a group of desperate survivors and heads for the coast in search of transport and salvation. His last chance to make amends.

Some bad grammar, such as ‘was stood’ or ‘was sat’ instead of ‘was standing’ or ‘was sitting’. The narrator is decent, although on some words he drops into a weird 1950s newsreader accent.

What a gripping story. I'm not a huge horror fan but I really enjoyed this story. I hope we find out more in the next book.

That is some proper Grim and dark hellish horror. excellent stuff. I thought the first one was a vicious eye opener but this one knocks it up a notch. more please.

This one .. well, I have 3 hours to go and I just can not take any more of it.
It is so depressing, and I mean, depressing!!!
The main character is very unlikable and sometimes I just wished he would have been killed off early to save the story
