This audiobook make a great point as to making you needs a priority and creating balanced relationships. Being a people pleaser is exactly the opposite of this and you never out you self interest first. Many techniques are shared in order to help you break the cycle of being a people pleaser. Some of the suggestion offered to assist you in helping you develop a positive are: affirmations, self reflection questions, visualizations, being in a private space, breathing exercise implementation and more. Another great point made here is to be conscious about how this negative behavior may affect our financial decisions.

This book transforms how I see 'setting boundaries'; before listening to this book, I was a chronic non-decision maker. I would ponder for a few days before responding with a no, and would still feel guilty for the decision I made. If you are a people pleaser, you would relate. The exercises inside the book make saying 'no' so much easier. The author is clever to even think of the exercises.
