About this listen
In The Power of Nice, through their own experiences and the stories of other people and businesses, they demonstrate why, contrary to conventional wisdom, nice people finish first.
©2006 Linda Kaplan Thaler and Robin Koval (P)2007 Oasis Audio LLCIn the Feel-the-Fear book, Jeffers argues that for some unknown reason, we (humans) feel that negativity is more realistic than positivity and being nice to one another. It always stuck with me but I could not find the arguments in my mind why this could be so. Enter Kaplan and Koval. In this book, they Illustrate in case after case, the results of just being kind - not as a strategy, (because that would imply a lack of belief) but as a way of life.
Their illustrations and examples go beyond the feel-good of doing a good turn for another, by demonstrating that 'random acts of kindness' can, and do, in many cases make the lives of others a bit brighter and lighter.
This is not a book that promises all the blessings of the universe. It is simply a good read that puts one back in touch with one's humanity. That is a good thing - no?
