Wentworth, Ohio: a small, friendly town where the Carver children bicker over sweets in the E-Z shop and writer Johnny Marinville is the only resident who minds his own business. I am not usually a fan of the horror genre....

but this is an amazing story. It takes mind over matter to the extreme. And creates a marvelous weave of fiction

Ah, the late, great Frank Muller, finest narrator I've eve heard... Great little story but I recommend doing this back to back with Stephen Kings Desperation, as the two compliment each other perfectly

It's a fun literary exercise to read this and Desperation together, but I wouldn't bother otherwise. Lots of great King/Bachmans to read.

I would definitely recommend listening to this after Desperation as it gives you an idea of whats going on. I found it a little slow at first but it heats up quickly and I was engrossed. I found the narration to be excellent with no awful music that audible seems to rely on for SK books

I listened to this straight after Desparation but did not enjoy it half asmuch. Found the characters jumbled and confusing.
The narration however was excellent.

excellent. Didn't realise the Novel Desperation needed to be read first. Will listen to it next.ill probably follow and understand The Regulators book better. I Love Audible.

I read desperation before this and much preferred that. the narration was absolutely fine can't fault that but the story itself just felt forced and asked more questions than it answered.

Firstly, I actually thought The Regulators was going to be one of those S.K. stories that would linger long after you have finished turning the last page, so to speak. You know like Pet Sematary or ‘Salems Lot and Carrie not to mention The Shining to name a few of my personal favorites of Stephen King’s Novels. HOWEVER, The Regulators did linger in my mind, but for all the WRONG reasons. Oh why did he write this awful drivel. At first I felt it was going to be a good if not a great read / listen. Having read Desperation a while back and remembered how good and suspenseful it is. Unfortunately for me, I did not enjoy this one bit. The thing that hurts most is that I’ll never get the time I spent on this back.
