“Through her smooth, dramatic performance, award-winning actor Rosamund Pike amplifies the new audiobook of book one in Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series.”—BookPage on Eye of the World (Earphones Award winner)
The Wheel of Time is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!
In The Shadow Rising, the fourth novel in Robert Jordan’s #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Rand al’Thor now wields the sword Callandor. He is both the Champion of Light and the Dragon Reborn. Now, he seeks answers to another prophecy that lies with the warrior people known as the Aiel to put him on the path of learning how to wield the One Power.
Accompanied by Moiraine Damodred, Rand arrives at the Aiel Waste and is granted permission by the Wise Ones to enter the sacred city of Rhuidean. After passing through a doorframe ter'angreal, Moiraine gains foresight while the Aiel await Rand's return, either with both arms marked by dragon symbols, validating his identity as He Who Comes With the Dawn, the Chief of Chiefs of all the Aiel—or to never emerge at all.
Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant #1 New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

A wonderful performance
Rosamund has hit to ground running here. This book is widely known as a bit of a slog; anyone that’s read it knows what I’m saying.
Yet she gives her all, and injects some true class into the narration.
5 stars, no one could do it better.

Still amazing and well read by Rosamund Pike.
I love the book. The performance side is fantastic quality though I had some problems with a couple of audio glitches where it went blank, I suspect something to do with streaming the large chapter sizes.

Brilliantly read, gripping story
Rosamund Pike’s performance is outstanding and it’s a great story of interweaving side quests. I hope she reads the rest of the series!

Rand, Perrin and Mat start to grow into the roles the wheel desires for them.
Rosamund Pike was absolutely fantastic as usual. She breathes life into all of the characters. I've read this book seven times over the years. This was the first time Perrin's return to Emonds Field had me on the verge of tears. It's all down to the narration.
Rand and Mat's visit to Rhuidean is one of my favourite parts of the journey. Rand's time with Aviendha can be amusing. Lanfear lurks as usual and perhaps is actually helpful for a change. Not that anyone with a functional braincell would trust her. Egwene spends time with the Aiel Wise Ones, learning to navigate the dreamworld safely whilst the Daughter-Heir and Nynaeve continue with their hunting for the Black Ajah.
A flipping brilliant story expertly read by Rosamund Pike. I cannot wait for her to do The Fires of Heaven.

Amazing continuation of the Rosamund Pike version.
I think that the way Rosamund Pike presents the voices of the characters it helps to make them seem more real then in other recordings.

Amazing narration
After listening to books 1, 2 and 3 read by Rosamond Pike I absolutely loved them. So I had tried to continue listening to the series but found the original narrators very hard to listen to. I was so excited to find that Rosamond had now narrated book 4 too!! Her narration is so engaging, you really feel like you are in the story. I am really hoping she continues to narrate the series.
