About this listen
Yesterday, Scott was dead. Today, he’s back.
And Anna doesn’t believe in ghosts.
Scott was Anna’s boyfriend. She loved him, but he ruined her life. When he died, she should have been free, but today Scott is on the radio, threatening to spill her secrets.
Anna is a mother, a wife, and head teacher of a primary school.
And she’s a good liar.
She made one mistake, and now she is having to pay for it. Scott is the only person who knows the truth about her past, but how can he be alive?
Soon, DCI Tom Douglas is going to knock on her door looking for answers. But Anna is already running scared: from the man she loved; the man she watched die; the man who has come back to life.
She has one week to find him. One week to stop him.

Completely Bonkers But A Good Listen
The storyline is quite mad but it sets a good pace and Lisa Coleman reads it very well. It’s not the best plot ever and it wasn’t difficult to work out whodunnit, but it’s a good listen.

Ok but I had it sussed
I did enjoy the book on a whole but as it went on i found the ending rather predictable. The first 3 quarters were very good and I could not wait to get in the car for the next instalment.

Never in a million years
Spike, Scott, Saskia this book has so many characters living alternative lives, hiding secrets and pretending they’re someone else.
Dom changed after his accident, becoming a stay home dad.
The children love being with their dad, but miss their hard working mum.
I was totally shocked with what the story brings, sinister, dark and sad in places.
Loved it though

Gripping!
Couldn’t stop listening, even once I had an idea where the story was going I was still hooked on the how.

Brilliant story but one chapter too long (IMHO)
I am really enjoying this series of books and this one has to be my favourite so far BUT…..
I was totally satisfied at the end of chapter 74 which ended “Dear Steven”. If the last chapter moved Tom’s storyline on a little and left a small hook for the next book then I could have understood it but I think it went a little too far to over complete the story for me. I can’t really say more without spoiling the storyline for others but bear it in mind and see if you agree with me or am I in a minority of one?
Well worth the credit though so onward to the next instalment we go
Brilliantly read though (I always like to appreciate the reader, especially when they bring the story to life)

Plot stretches credibility too far
Usually enjoy Rachel Abbott books but found the plot too contrived. The twist was visible a mile off and the main character makes far too many ridiculous decisions. It pushes credibility too far to think that she would be able to lead the double life she has.

A slow start but a good twist at the end
This was my least favourite Rachel Abbott book. The main character is difficult to sympathise with and much of the book is taken up with her reflections. I guessed one of the twists quite early but the final twist was a surprise.

A fabulous book
The plot is great and I love the familiarity of Tom but the new characters for this particular thriller. Completely recommended
