About this listen
Life on Frogmorton Farm is never peaceful for long . . .
Discover book two in the magical Frogmorton Farm series from Jodi Taylor, author of the internationally bestselling Chronicles of St Mary's.
Life is good at Frogmorton Farm. Yes, Jenny and Russell are still broke. Yes, the roof still leaks. And yes, the Checklands are about to become the long-suffering owners of a battalion of trouble-seeking Patagonian Attack Chickens. But life is still quite wonderful for someone who used to be called the Nothing Girl.
Jenny Checkland knows better than to count her chickens, though, even the Patagonian ones. Particularly because an all-too-familiar face from the past seems to be popping up wherever she goes. She would swear it was her sinister cousin Christopher, last seen being enthusiastically hurled out of the back door by her wayward husband.
But he couldn't possibly be stupid enough to come back and try again . . . could he?"

Another Brilliant Jodi Taylor story
Cane here as many probably have from the at Mary's stories and after struggling slightly with book 1 have to say this was just excellent flowed nicely and concluded with a full stop , And the readers interpretation is sublime

Sad, Funny, exciting, interesting and oh so beautfiul
This series was not what I was expecting after the previous series I’ve read by Jodi. I absolutely loved it though, I loved Thomas and wish we all had our own Thomas there to be our guardian angels. The story line was great too. I was sad to end this series, glad to see there is a short Christmas special! This was also so well narrated, captured all the characters so well, really brought it all to life.

Barely fantasy, hugely pleasing.
I've listened to most of Jodi Taylor's historian books and enjoyed them but this was the one that made me smile more than any other.

Made me laugh out loud ++, and made me cry
After you have suspended disbelief this is a lovely book. Do read The Nothing Girl first - it is obviously a quirky story, but it is interesting without being weighty. To my mind it’s time setting was a little wobbly, almost a mixture of Edwardian and now (a matter of weeks ago!). But any seeming anachronisms or unlikely scenarios can easily be ignored once you have got involved with the characters. Easy to listen to, very pleasant narration - for me it was a happy read despite the tears.
