About this listen
A Message from The Author
Writing The Undead is a humbling experience. I am eternally grateful to the readers and listeners for the incredible support you always show.
Dan Morgan superbly narrated Parts 1 to 10, but unfortunately he was not able to continue. To my delight, the wonderfully talented Joe Jameson has now taken the series on. His range and skills are superb.
I am aware of the feedback about the voice of one of my characters, Dave. If this change has upset your listening experience then I can only apologise, but both Joe and I, and everyone at Audible, have listened to the points you made and take them very seriously. It is a wonderful thing to have such responsive fans, so willing to listen and work to make it better, plus the interactive nature of the series means you the listener can speak out and say what you like and don't like, otherwise how would we know?
We've got some cracking days ahead of us. Some real stonking rip-roaring storylines to come and both Joe and I can only hope you'll stay with us on this journey.
Take care,
RR Haywood.
After the carnage of the night and dealing with an infected Lani, the team leave the fort and once more venture into rural towns to find food and buy time. As the day wears on, the tension between Howie and Marcy grows, with increasingly petty arguments that sap the morale of the others.
They find a deserted village where the infection strikes in vast numbers. With too many to fight head-on, the lads flee and take refuge in an old mansion. Meanwhile, Marcy and Howie become trapped in a house, and the scientist riding on horseback stumbles across the village.

Every 30 minutes
Howie and the gang at it again. More edge of your seat antics which just get more and more extreme.

Incredible series.
I’m hooked until the very end. Book after book is just one rollercoaster ride after the other of raw emotions, heart beating drama and zombie battles. You will laugh and you will be caught with a tear in your eye.

A must listen to series!
If you’re already listening to part 13 I can safely assume you’re a fan and don’t need my review to tell you how great this series is!
Find us on Facebook ‘RR Haywood’s 2nd Watch Biscuit Club‘....... if you’re that way inclined 😁

Oh wow!!
If you never read another book about the "living challenged" you MUST read the Undead series! Exceptional characters that you really care about and need to know what is going to happen to them...the speed of the story...the side plots and twists...and the natural humour that will have you laughing out loud... literally! I HAVE to know when the rest of the series is going to be completed or I may just turn into Dave and go hunting for a certain author 😉.

throat punch marcy please
God the scenes with marcy and howie are giving me brain damage.
maybe that's why since book 11 dave has been made to sound like he's had a stroke.
I mean if he can hear howies thoughts, then the poor bloke has clearly chosen brain cell death in a hope to block the most boring sex monologues out.
I have never skipped through any chapters in the undead series; until this book.
I'm literally sick of hearing about her boobs and the feeding of each other in the kitchen gave me acid reflux.
I skipped all of that rubbish. it's straight out the imagination of a 12 year old and the writer is better then that cheap, lazy writting.
I hope I can survive the rest of this book,
I found myself wishing for marcy to be killed off just to save the boring scenes.
Paula, poor beautiful Paula, why does she sound like a frumpy 50 year old.
she was a great character when originally introduced. battling zombies alone, setting traps ending zombie leaders, killing rapists. why don't we hear her battle anymore.
I'm so bored I'm writting this review during what's probably meant to be the big fight scene; as marcy has made me want to throat punch myself just to distract myself from the pain of her character.
