Great book

With practice, the content of this book can be a genuine life changer

I realised early on that this isn't a book I could just use as easy listening.
First, I got really intrigued by the 'glimpses' (short instructions/questions) which can be done during daily life. [I never managed to get into meditating where I try (usually unsuccessfully) to calm/focus my mind, and then get up and 'do life']. The glimpses work well and can be incorporated anytime.

Rather than 'focussing', the reader is invited to relax into where awareness is coming from. This works much better for me. To a degree, it is a process of unlearning and practicing, as one needs to step outside the habitual way of focussed perception. I have worked with this book by slowing down passages and re-listening until I feel I have really grasped the content.

Thanks to this practice I have begun to manage certain situations/topics more calmly, which makes a huge difference in my life 😊.
I will continue to work with this book as there is much more to explore and grow into 💫

Repetitive terms

a whole book is not necessary to explain the bare principles of this natural awards. Throughout the book the title phrase Effortless Mindfulness keeps getting repeated unnecessarily. it can be quite distracting.
