Summary
THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER
This audiobook is read by the authors, Mo Gawdat and Alice Law.
From the author of Scary Smart, Unstressable applies Mo Gawdat's brilliant engineering mind and Alice Law's stress-management expertise to the 'stress pandemic'.
'Everything he writes is an enlightening education in how to be human.' - Elizabeth Day
This follow up to bestselling Solve For Happy will show you that chronic stress is not an unavoidable part of modern life, but a predictable – and therefore preventable – response, often as much to do with negative thought patterns as external circumstances. Mo explains how he made it through the most acutely stressful times in his own life, and the book touches on the idea of post-traumatic growth – both on a personal level and in response to huge events that affected all of us, such as the COVID pandemic and subsequent economic turmoil.
Practical exercises will help you build up the skills to manage stress no matter your circumstances, backed up by neuroscience and accessible psychology.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

An alternative perspective on stress and life
In a world drowning in self-help books and advice, this book offers ways of thinking differently and of being brave enough to open one's mind to alternative views of living in a stressful and performance-driven world. Busyness has become a badge of honour rather than seen for what it is - a thief of joy. This book offers doable and practical ways for creating joy in everyday life, regardless of circumstances.

soothing
Mow and Alice have written a very important book. The world we live in appears very stressed. But we can do something about this in how we are effected. In the book there are many ideas to take into one's life to de-stress and they work. I have recommended this book to my daughter and wife . Remember most of our I'll health comes from too much stress!! So go ahead and become unstressable.

The calm, clear content and narration..beautiful
I’m a big fan of Mo Gawdat, and the complementary contrast & partnership he has with Alice Law served perfectly to give a well rounded view, outlook and feel to this book. I love the fact they summarise what they have talked through in the chapter (great for someone with a monkey mind like me!), that there are clear actionable things you can take away & the pace and tone of both themselves and the book.
It is very heartfelt and clearly comes from a place of deep experience from them both. A lovely, lovely book.

Fluff self help book with grandiose aspirations and rehashed half baked ideas
Save yourself time and money and avoid this book. Too many machine metaphors and talks about your heart and the divine potential of your soul. Grand goals and scopes. Plenty of discussion of the woes of our current world without delving into how it is affected by capitalism, wealth or privilege. Waste hours of your life to be told to limit stressors, set boundaries, breathe and enjoy hobbies. Oh, and connect with your soul of course.
